Tiling
Kitchens, bathrooms, splashbacks and floors. Proper prep, dead-level setting out and clean grout lines — the difference between a tile job and a tidy one.
Good tiling is mostly preparation. Floors get levelled or boarded, walls skimmed or tanked where they need it, and a decoupling membrane goes down over anything that might move. Setting out happens before the first tile is stuck — cuts balanced at both ends of a wall, features centred, grout lines running true through the room.
Ceramic, porcelain, natural stone and large-format are all handled, from metro splashbacks and herringbone feature walls to full bathrooms and kitchen floors. Wet areas are tanked properly before tiling, and the trims, movement joints and silicone lines are finished neat — they are the part you look at every day.
Price is driven by the area, the tile size and the state of the substrate — large-format looks clean but demands a flatter wall, and natural stone needs sealing. Supply-and-fit or labour-only both work. Send the room size and a photo of the tiles you have in mind and an honest number comes back.
