Loft Boarding
Raised loft boarding over insulation, loft ladders and hatches — turning wasted roof space into clean, usable storage.
Loft boarding done right starts below the boards: raised loft legs lift the deck clear of the insulation so it keeps working, cables and pipes stay accessible underneath, and the boards are screwed down so nothing creaks over the bedrooms.
Hatches can be enlarged and lined, aluminium loft ladders fitted, and lighting added so the space is actually usable rather than a scramble in the dark. Walkway-only boarding is a sensible budget option if you just need a safe route across the loft and a few boxes' worth of storage.
The quote depends on the area being boarded, whether the hatch and ladder need upgrading, and how much is already going on in the loft. It is one of the quickest, cheapest ways to add genuinely useful storage to a house — and it protects the insulation you have already paid for.
